Keith Giffen was a writer for the series who is credited with two episodes ("Boom Boom Out Goes the Ed" and "Pick an Ed"). Outside of the series, he was a proficient comic book illustrator and writer, having his first work, The Sword and The Star, published in 1976. Throughout the years, he had worked on numerous projects for Marvel and DC alike.
While taking a several-year break from the comic industry, he started working on storyboards for television and film, one of those being Ed, Edd n Eddy.
In recent years, he had written for Green Arrow (4-6), Legion of Super-Heroes (17-18), and Justice League 3000. In 2014, he helped co-write The New 52: Futures End.
