Getting Jonny Unstuck from a Tree is a scam that has appeared throughout the series, most explicitly in "Rent-a-Ed" and "Run Ed Run." In "Rent-a-Ed," Jonny was seen with his head caught between the branches of a tree outside his house. The Eds offered to help, and Jonny agreed. However, he ended up being stuck there for a long time as the Eds accidentally wrecked his kitchen, and later his house, after forgetting to help him. In "Run Ed Run," Jonny once again got his head stuck between two tree branches. When he asked for help, Eddy agreed and ordered Ed to get Jonny down, but Ed refused, instead dragging his friends away because he thought the sky was falling.
