Battle at the Pit

The Battle at the Pit was a staged (at first) fight between Edd and Jimmy at the the Pit to clear Edd's mistakenly violent history in "A Fistful of Ed." After Jimmy witnesses Edd bloom a flower that was a cross between a rose and a Baby Blue Gym Sock, Jimmy understood that Edd was still gentle, and that all the earlier instances were just accidents. The Kids were informed by Kevin about the battle, after he heard Edd and Jimmy discussing their plans to meet at the Pit.

When it was time, Ed, Eddy, and the kids all gathered to watch the fight. Initially, Edd and Jimmy gently fought each other. However, Eddy started to throw hot dogs at Jimmy's face and taunt him. Edd and Jimmy tried to continue the staged fight, but Eddy kept on throwing more hot dogs and insults at Jimmy. This caused Jimmy to confront Eddy. Edd attempted to restrain Jimmy, unintentionally hurting Jimmy in the process. This caused Jimmy to snap and start to fight Edd for real, even slamming Edd into a front loader bucket.

Afterwards, Edd was seriously injured, and Jimmy calmed down, unaware of what happened. The kids then cheered and paraded Jimmy away. Edd lost his violent reputation, Ed regained trust for Edd, and Eddy even managed to stand up to the Kanker Sisters when they started to tease Edd. Overall, the fight had a positive outcome.

Trivia

• When Eddy was taunting Jimmy, Eddy references "One Size Fits Ed" by mentioning the time the Eds turned Jimmy into a sumo wrestler.
