"An Ed for an Ed" is an Ed, Edd n Eddy comic. In it, Edd cleans up Ed's room, much to Ed's dismay. It was published by DC Comics in Cartoon Network Block Party issue #37.
Plot[]
The Eds are walking down the stairs to Ed's bedroom. Ed is excited to show his friends the latest issue of the comic book, The Secret Slug Society. Upon entry, however, Edd is disturbed by the unsanitary conditions of Ed's room. Taking it upon himself to clean the mess, Edd has Ed and Eddy leave the room before he gets to work cleaning it.
After a thorough cleaning and disinfecting process, the room is ready to debut. Edd proudly shows off what he has done. Seeing how clean it is, Eddy believes they can use it for a scam: charge the kids an entry fee to see it, with an extra fee to smell it.
Ed is not pleased with this change, though. Enraged, he demands to know where all his possessions are. Edd states that he only threw the garbage away. Ed, however, does not share Edd's view about which items are garbage. As such, Edd threw away many items Ed assigned value to. Confiding in Eddy, Ed expresses his feelings about this change.
A while later, Ed's bedroom has been turned into an impromptu courtroom. Ed is the judge, Edd is the defendant, and Eddy is the plaintiff. Although Edd initially sees this as a sham trial, Edd eventually concedes that he violated Ed's personal space.
To restore balance, Edd recreates the previous condition of Ed's room. Using an improvised excavator, dirt is brought back one scoop at a time. Edd also finds a slug for Ed, which makes a welcome replacement for the "pets" Edd previously removed.
Trivia[]
- In the final panel, Ed references Hugo the Abominable Snowman (from the Looney Tunes franchise) when he says, "I will keep him, and pet him, and name him George!"
